Meditation through Artistic Movement
Meditating can be so difficult for those with overactive minds. Art is the one thing I can focus on and all else drops away. I can meditate through artistic movement and find a zen space for me to fluidly discover without distraction.
In a similar way as the bath method, it is essential for one to set their intent for any meditation session. Once an intention is set you can begin the discovery of your new practice.
Henna is a fun place to start for the artsy doodler. Or anyone who loves body art and ancient cultures. Henna comes as a peaceful and beautiful movement, with a lasting reminder for the week to continue. That brings you endless opportunities to revisit that intention, come back to source, and give thanks for the ways the universe is making that happen for you. There are kits for Meditating and Learning Henna if you're looking to discover henna magic or a new and unique way to meditate.
Coloring is another great way to bring artistic movement into a meditation practice. This has become popular in the last few years so maybe isn't considered unique anymore, but is still a perfect way to meditate at the end of a long day.
Bring on the Sound
Sounds bowls are not unique to meditation, but you may not have tried this before! Grab your headphones and find a YouTube video that showcases meditation sounds. Some sounds are specific to certain healing or areas in the body. So search for something matching your intentions for the meditation.
Once you find it, grab a comfy seat, close your eyes, and feel the vibrations of sound!
If you can find a local gathering with sound healing that's even better; In person you get a next level experience that is so unique to sound healing meditation. This often is connected to reiki healing which is very unique and a wonderful way to release built up emotions.
