Unique ways to meditate

If you are someone who has a hard time meditating, this is for you! I know many people who haven't been able to get a grasp on meditation and its major benefits. Sometimes they can't sit still, or their mind just keep racing and doesn't seem to calm.

​I see meditation as a connection to 'Source' [this word can be replaced with 'Allah', 'God', ect.] or the source of the universal energy. The energy that powers the sun, stars, and everything else in our universe. So no matter your ailment, meditation IS available to everyone, you just have to find the way that works for you. Meditate with Water

We're going to start this list easy and give everyone a great but unique way to meditate: THE BATH. I mean who doesn't love a warm bath anyway.  Meditating with one of the 4 elements can be uniquely powerful! ​

First, set your intentions for the meditation. This can be "I want to feel more at peace" , "I am manifesting a promotion" or anything in between. 
Once your intention is set you can begin to draw your bath, keeping your intentions at the forefront of thought. Pick fresh flowers to place into the bath. Pour your salts or soaps in gently. Gather any reminders you'd like in view, maybe a photo, crystals, or money. Things unique to your intention or your strength. 
Now it's time to gently relax into the steaming water. It's time to enjoy the luxuries of this beautifully warm water poured at the turn of a handle, felt by your skin and enjoyed at peace. Take in a deep breath and appreciate all you have. Focus on your intention and meditate on it. 
If you find yourself bored or having trouble sitting still, lean back. Let your ears fall under the water line and listen to the quiet. Control your breaths. Make them conform to a pattern of in for 5, out for 4, in for 5, out for 4. Hear your breath. Close your eyes and find the dancing lines. You are home in your body. 

HOT TIP: if you have bad water temps, fill that bath up with hot water, turn off the faucet, light some candles and close the door. Come back after 15 minutes and the water in your water heater should be hot enough again to top off the bath with some extra steaming agua. The candles keep the place warm in the meantime.​

Bring on the Sound

Sounds bowls are not unique to meditation, but you may not have tried this before! Grab your headphones and find a YouTube video that showcases meditation sounds. Some sounds are specific to certain healing or areas in the body. So search for something matching your intentions for the meditation. 
Once you find it, grab a comfy seat, close your eyes, and feel the vibrations of sound!
